Files & Folders
From the Data Explorer, once you have clicked on a Bucket, you'll be able to see its content.
Creating a folder
Use the "New" button on the top right, and select the folder creation action.
You can then enter your folder name, that also follows the same naming conventions as the Kits: only lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and periods.
The folder is now created with the notification confirming it.
Uploading a file
Use the new button on the top right again and use the action to import a file.
Select the file in your file system, validate and the upload will start.
You can see the upload is ongoing thanks to the progress bar displayed next to the file you selected.
The file is now uploaded in your Bucket.
Downloading a file
To download a file, either click on its name or use the actions menu to the right of the row and select the option to download it.
The download will start and will be in your browser's download page, or system download folder, as usual.
Deleting folders and files
There is no confirmation for the deletion of files and folders! Be aware of what you want to delete, because there will be no going back!
You already know that there are two possible options for deletion, context menu or actions menu. For this example we will use the context menu, so right click on the folder you want to delete and select the delete option.
The folder is now deleted.
You can do the same with the file.
Bulk operations
You can perform bulk operations on multiple files or folders at once by selecting them in the "My Kits" table, by using the "Control" key on your keyboard (or "Command" key on Mac), and then selecting all the files or folder names you want to perform the bulk operation on.
Locate the "New" button on the top right of the main content area, and select the option to import files.
Import multiple files
When importing, you can select several files.
This will start the upload of multiple files in Bucket's current folder.
Deleting multiple files
Now let's see how to delete all of them at once. Select all the files using the Control ("Ctrl") key on Windows, or the Command ("Cmd") key on MacOS, and left-clicking on all the files to select.
You can now right-click on one of the selected files and choose the delete option from the context menu, to delete them all.
Current limitations on bulk operations
As of today, shall you delete all the files within a folder, the folder itself will get deleted.
You cannot select both folders and files for deletion.
